Get Involved with ACT
Auchencairn Climate Transition (ACT) SCIO is delighted to announce that it has received funding from the Volunteer Support Fund from Nov 2025 to the end of March 2027. This fund comes from the Scottish Government through the Impact Fund to support and develop volunteer activity in local communities.
ACT SCIO has always relied heavily on volunteer support to run its activities, but we recognise that we need to offer our volunteers more support and embed volunteering into our organisational ethos. We would like to be more structured in the way we support our volunteers by offering more encouragement and guidance from project leads. We would also like to encourage more people to volunteer with us in whatever way they can.
We welcome new project ideas that support our aim of responding to the climate emergency by enabling a fair and just transition to a robust and sustainable future.
There is a wealth of knowledge and skills within our community that we would like to harness to ensure that all are aware of climate issues and can respond in ways that build resilience and move our community towards Net Zero.

You can also become a member of Act (no charge), allowing you to have a vote at our AGM and to be kept updated on our activity via our mailing list.
